After returning home from my 12th trip to Cairns, I decided to try and duplicate the fantastic Sticky Date Pudding served in the Pacific Flavours Brasserie. It is absolutely the BEST! I have since tried 3 different recipes which were good, but disappointing. They do not have the same taste, nor do the recipes I used have the "sticky" part which is soooooo good! Is it possible to obtain a copy of the recipe your pastry chef uses? I would be so elated to have this recipe. It is absolutely one of my favorite desserts and, needless to say, every time I am in Cairns I go for brunch just so I can have the Sticky Date Pudding. Unfortunately, when I went for brunch there in June the Sticky Date Pudding was not the dessert for the day.

Thank you for your consideration.

Jacqueline - A fan of your great Sticky Date Pudding

New dessert buffet has some tempting delights such as hot chocolate pudding (with lots of chocolate sauce), caramel pecan tarts and rum balls. My partner and I enjoyed the wide range of options on the buffet and noticed they now have a wine buffet for $12.50. Unfortunately we were both driving, so perhaps next time.

A good value lunch with lots of salad selections & some very tasty desserts. I'm not normally a big fan of buffet style food but the quality of the food here was good. The service wasn't the best but I think the waitress was just having a bad day!

Perhaps not the best place for service, but the range of desserts was good, and having freshly cut roast is always enjoyable. Won't write home about the venue, but will come back with a Casino membership card for discounted meals.

The range on the hot food buffet was not exciting, but was good quality. The sweet and sour fish was my preferred dish of the ones that I tried. There was a great variety of salad 'items' to choose from. 7/10

Decent selection of mains - in particular the roast was good, didn't really look at the salads and the desserts where great because of the small servings you can have one of everything.
