If you have not yet been to a place where food is rubbish, overpriced and comes with a terrible service by unqualified staff lacking common sense, and when you are trying to complain in a polite manner you are being patronised and humiliated by the management, look no further - Apres Bar is your destination. I was unlucky enough to visit this place earlier this month, and as a chef and a restaurateur, I must admit I have never experienced such bad service and terrible treatment by staff and management ever in my life. Numerous mistakes were made by staff, at no point nobody tried to rectify them, there were mistakes on our bill ( I am more than convinced they were made on purpose), the conduct of staff and their management was appaling. No customer service skills, no proper communication between kitchen and bar and the customer, no willingness to rectify the situation and ensure customer satisfaction makes this place a disaster. Not sure how it makes money. Maybe by cheating on customer bills, I cannot see any other way. My first evening in Palm Cove was totally ruined by visit to this place.

Apres has a sign saying 'where the locals go' well we are local and went for lunch on Sunday and all I can say is this local won't be going back.
The staff were rude (including pushing me in the back while waiting to be served instead of asking me to move aside). I think they assumed we were visitors, not locals and would not be back.
The food was very average, poor serving sizes and very overpriced.
From the reaction of others around us I don't think there were to many satisfied customers.
If you are considering this place to eat reconcider and give it a wide berth. There are plenty of other good places in Palm Cove and Cairns district.
