Chicken snitchel & potato wedges - the very delicious reason why my boyfriend and I go to the grafton every 2 weeks. Can't beat it.

Sorry to say, but one of the most awful meals I have ever had in a restaurant :(
How can you go wrong with fries?? And the gravy on the lamb shanks was appauling :(
The poor waitress must have been embarrassed serving such horrible meals to people.
I think management need to have a look at their chef's abilities.....

Have dined at this hotel many times, have never had a bad meal yet, Staff are always welcoming and friendly and its a great family atmosphere. Restaurant is clean and inviting and Grafton seems to be the best value for money meal wise in Cairns.

Don't bother to go to this Hotel. Dined Saturday night. Most people had to wait 1.1/2 hours for meals. Grill fish supposed to have lemon butter sauce arrived and was served with Steamed fish and no sauce. Returned to kitchen and replaced 3/4 hour later with same steamed fish but at least some sauce. Chips cold and overall very dissappointing. Staff not trained to handle problems properly and seemed very stressed. Will never return.

Ordered a meal that supposedly came with a small side salad .. didn't get a salad .. boring without it. Average food and average service, we won't be back.

DELICIOUS PIZZAS that can be ordered takeaway or dine-in. I don't usually like pizza, but love it from here!

We went to the grafton hotel for dinner last night saturday, firstly we were very disappointed with the service and meal. The restaurant was very empty only a few tables at 7.00pm, we were not greeted by any staff member when we sat down as we were looking for a high chair.

The reef and beef and rib eye fillet were burnt that bad on the chargrill that the flavour was unbearable to eat.

My point i want to get across is with a restaurant so empty on a saturday night you would think that the service would be great and food alot better considering you are paying $30 for a steak.
