Cock & Bull Restaurant

We went here with a large group of people and were amazed that we were served so quickly as the place was packed. The size of the menu was huge with so much to choose from and the prices were great. When the meals were ready, we were gobsmacked at the size of the meals. Never had such huge meals and so tasty. They were so well presented as well. Even the men had trouble finishing the meals because of the size. Great value for money and would go here again.

I went in 1986 when it first opened and was great english style food.But we went with my family last month Feb 2013.The bleepers and worse for my having disability having to get up and down the steps with hot food.The water glasses very small ,the food big so need lots of water up and down the steps again another 2 times that's 6 times was a silly idea.young people no problem.make a slop.That out of the way best food at good price in Cairns better than Hog's Breath probaly their opposition.

Have eaten the sausage meal there before, last night 17 Nov 2012 the sausages were YUK to say the least, asked waitress what kind they were, she said pork, I replied NO they are not the colour is wrong and they were spicy hot and extremely chewy, I said tell the chef, NO Response. When I have an issue with the food I have purchased I expect results NOT ignorance, also employing locals would be a tremendous idea!

I'm from WA and theres nothing like this over there, ur restaurant & staff are very nice,,i would highly recommend this to everyone :) food is great and prices are fantastic ... im a regular customer........ im trying to organise our xmas party here for the 3rd Dec ,,,so fingers crossed

the ribs are to die for,I have been there every time i am in cairns,so far I have not had a meal on my own they are so big and great prices I would rather eat there everyday than to go downtown .Iwill be there again for a trip and the cockand bull will be my eating place while e are there

We have been going frequently to the cock and bull on our yearly holidays to Cairns for the last 4 years.

The meals are huge and excellent and the restaurant has a great atmosphere . We have learn't to share as the meals are so big especially the death by chocolate dessert. Interesting decor and friendly staff.

We are already booked for this xmas so will be there again.

We came over to Australia for a month in Sept 07. We visited the cock and Bull twice for a meal while in Cairns. We thought the meals were very generous and well cooked all at a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Hi there, having just returned home to the UK I discovered the Cock&Bull two days before leaving to my disappointment. What a fantastic place for people of all generations, great food,large portions and friendly staff. Yes perhaps the bleepers might be a negative but DON'T let that put you off visiting as I promise you will CERTAINLY be missing OUT on the best pub grub in Cairns. I shall certainly be visiting on my return to your GREAT country. Till then keep up the fantastic food and service.

We are three families who have have been going to the Cock and Bull Restautrant for years as it is the best feed in town, the food is quality and plentiful however the last time we went there they have installed those dreadful beepers that go off when your meal is ready to be collected, so the whole wonderful ambience of the place has been ruined by having these dreadful beepers going off all around you at different tables, we will not go there any more and we tell all our visitors to do the same.

We would like to suggest that the Management sit there enjoying their nice dinner and have it spoiled by having these dreadful things going off all through the meal.

I was in Cairns mid 2004, and a Ladyfriend showed me around, some of the Nightlife.

It's now a week after Cyclone Larry, and l am returning.
I have spent like hours, on and off my Computer, much of which looking for Cock & Bull. While I remember the place vividly, l couldn't remember the Name or Address.

It's all well worth it !

i have eaten at the cock and bull many times and enjoy the food, as it huge and tasty but that only makes up for the low quality of service due to the staff being back packers and not giving a toss, but it is a great place to start a night off with its great vibe ,please dont be put off from going there if you are a lover of big steaks 500g or chicken parmas this place is diffiently worth a visit
