Outback Jacks Bar and Grill
Thoroughly huge steaks dominate the menu at Outback Jack's. The meat cabinet boasts an amazing array of carnivorous delights, hailed to be the largest variety of steaks in the world. A great family restaurant, especially on Tuesday & Wednesday nights when kids eat free between 5-7pm.

What people are saying...
Great service.. yummy food, not a big steak fan, but husband was dying for a steak.. or so he said..lol.. had this little eye fillet, just the right size for me and the taste surprised me. kids loved the colouring books and playroom..only downside was that we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, really my fault for not booking, but this is cairns.. noone books..
A crafty little trick:
Cook burns the first side of the beef. I mean it was cremated. Oh well! Just flip it and serve it cremated side down.
Sure, it is a mistake -- so you send it back. Despite this it was good.

I got a feeling that this restaurant is in a bit of neglet. The first thing to notice is the actual menu, I don't mean the food on the menu, it needs replacing as the pages are looking very old and things have been crossed out by a marking pen. Very unprofessional for a franchise. I ordered the Big Jack's Ribs and proceeded to finish my beer before ordering the wine to go with the ribs. A wine list was finally found and to my dismay there is only one red wine by the glass. I was told that I could go to the walk-in cellar to choose a wine, but being Monday night and on my own I did not feel like a full bottle. I suggested that they open a bottle and I would purchase two glasses but was told that they don't do that. I hate it when restaurants want to dictate to their clientele what they should be eating or drinking. Note to restaurant people, i go to a restaurant for the choices, the moment you tell me my choices are limited is the moment i close my wallet. It was my fault for going to a glorified Food Court, I should have gone to the Waterbar. I have been there 3 times since I have been in Cairns and they never dissappoint. Lesson learned.
