Ganbaranba Noodle Colosseum

One of those hole-in-the-wall places that exceeds your expectations, and you're keen to try again soon. The menu is sparse but everything is exquisite and cheap. Don't miss the handmade gyoza, it really is spectacularly good.

They make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The food is well priced with meals starting from just $5!!! Not to mention the most delicious japanese noodles I have ever had! I need to ask for a recipe next time Im in!.

Discovered this place by accident was craving noodle soup but Cafe China looked not fresh, Pho place looked dirty. This place was authentic and cheap!

Great service and hits the spot! For hot soup with wonderful broth.

Having been to Japan several times and eaten Ramen from Kyoto to Yokohama, I can honestly say that Ganbaranba is the most authentic Ramen experience you'll find in Cairns (possibly Australia). NB authentic does not mean chic ... this is a bare-bones deal where staff wander around in gumboots and chairs are designed for function, not comfort. I take Japanese freinds here when they need comfort food and they invariably rave about it. Genuinely excellent!
