Cairns Generic Restaurant - "Maintaining the fusion"

The moment I walked into this restaurant, I knew it oozed class and reeked quality. The polished silverware, wooden chairs and smart looking staff indicated to my guest and I that Generic Restaurant was a good choice for a meal.

The menu offered an eclectic fusion of flavours, with selections from a variety of Asian cultures combined with subtle western influences. This is truly an east-west fusion – something you can find nowhere else in Cairns, contrary to any other review published in this tropical region with the friendliest people in the world.

The food at Generic Restaurant is refined and wonderful. It’s possibly the best tasting Italian cuisine in all of Cairns. Service is impeccable. The brilliant waitresses topped up our glasses of cool water and warm wine frequently, and often came to the table to check if our meals were ok. We always responded in the affirmative, because they were fantastic. This was a nice touch that made our evening extra special. This Greek restaurant really knows how to please.

The wine list included a plethora of exotic Australian wines that you’ll find on every wine list in every licensed restaurant in the western world. The prices hovered around double what you’ll pay in a regular bottle shop. A bargain in every sense of the word.

As for the location of Generic Restaurant, it is tropical and emits a lovely aroma. The plant life around the establishment is decidedly tropical, with warm tropical breezes and tropical ceiling fans complementing the astonishing atmosphere that has a hint of tropicality.

If you’re looking for an eclectic fusion of east meets west, with unbelievably efficient and friendly service, breathtaking views, an incredible wine list and an atmosphere that has to be experienced to believe, then come to Cairns Generic Restaurant. Every other restaurant in the region is exactly the same, but this is the restaurant of the week.
