The Story

Looking for an appropriate dining location after a tough week at work, we turned to the Internet after an exhaustive search through the Yellow Pages didn't quite conjure up the images of mouthwatering cuisine or the alluring romantic atmosphere we were hoping for.

Unfortunately, searching for Cairns restaurants on the Internet proved almost as elusive as the Holy Grail! Other than a small sprinkling of obscure suburban locations and Port Douglas specialties, nothing online suited our $20 taxi fare budget or told us about the prices of their bubbly.

Thus, cairnsdining.com was born. This site aims to remedy the difficulties we experienced when choosing a restaurant, as young epicureans with a penchant for experiencing new tastes. This site attempts to provide a comprehensive selection of Cairns restaurants, plus give recommendations and credit where it's due. While not always objective (we do have favourite restaurants!) it is always informative, and always helpful.

We appreciate and welcome any feedback, suggestions or comments you might have which would help us to make this Cairns Dining more useful in finding your ideal restaurant.
